Tuquito at Entre Rios on the Fourth Edition of the Free Software Regional Days

On Saturday, August 25th, 2007, took place in the city of Oro Verde — Argentina
province of Entre Rìos — the Fourth Edition of the Free Software Regional Days.
It was the fourth consecutively time in that city, as allways pursuing the purpose of spreading the philosophy of Free Software to their vast university population and to the public in general.
Although the weather was terrible –the annoying drizzle bothered us practically all the day– the public came in good number to better know the Free Software community.
As expositors were Santiago Pessat and Esteban Peiro, whom appeared in Oro Verde to speak about our beloved Tuquito.
The whole presentation took place in the SUM (Multiple Uses Auditory) of the Faculty of Agronomy at the Autonomic University of Entre Rìos. There was a good presence of public — specially taking into account the weather conditions –.
It was amazing for us to see that most of the atendees were students of careers that do not have direct relationships with Computer Sciences, for example Architecture, Design, etc.
The public, generally speaking, seems to be very interested in projects like OLPC or ClassMate, and with Tuquito project in general.
During the presentation we informed about the other development branches that Tuquito has, emphasizing on the differents ways people has to involve more actively into the project, as well as when and where it could be done.
It was shown with a lot of pride all the mediums that Tuquito has to ease the interactions with the always increasing community.
Last but not least, we are much gratefull with the hosts of the event whom distributed CD’s of Tuquito to all the people which attended the event.
Heartful thanks for you Oro Verde ….. will be seeing you next year!
